What is a “campership”? At Oneida First UMC we believe summer camp changes lives. For this reason we award camperships to children and youth each year. In 2010 we awarded 8 camperships, in 2011 we awared 15. A “campership” is a scholarship for half of the total cost of one week of camp given to children and youth attending one of our six UM summer camps in the Upper New York Annual Conference. We award camperships each year on a “first come, first serve” basis as long as funds are available. All children and youth (both members and non-members alike) are eligible for camperships. The limit on campership funds is one campership for one week of camp, per child, per year. There is no family limit.
