Sunday School
9:00 am in the Chapel
We’re
starting something new this year! Oneida First will offer a “workshop
rotational model” Sunday School experience for children aged pre-school
– 8th grade. Although there is not currently a senior high Sunday
School, we offer youth group for that age group. Sunday School meets
together in the chapel at 9:00 on Sunday morning and dismisses at 10:00
from the individual Sunday School rooms. Come check out our new Sunday
School!
Monday Bible Study
Noon - 2:00 pm
Come at noon with your bag
lunch and enjoy some fellowship before the
study starts,
or come at 1:00 pm for just the study. Each week we read and discuss
scripture together. No preparation required! Just bring your lunch and
your bible.
Men's Ministry
We are building a men’s ministry at Oneida First. This group will study the Bible, fellowship together, and serve the wider community through manual labor and visitation. For more info on our growing group, please contact the church office.
Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World:
Finding Intimacy with God in the Busyness of Life
"Now as they went on their way, he entered a certain village, where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to what he was saying. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.’ But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.’" Luke 10:38-41
Is your life busy? Do you ever find it hard to connect to God in the midst of your whirlwind life? If your answer is yes, then perhaps this is a study for you. In January of 2011 we will offer a small group bible study for women centered around Joanna Weaver’s book “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World”.
We will offer this study Thursdays during Lent, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
